I am combining three of my favorite fall pieces into a fun outfit perfect for date night!
Poshsquare top and skirt | Born Amila boots via Dillards
For date night, I always dress with his point of view in mind. That means my skirts and dresses cling just a few inches higher and exposed skin covers just a few more territories. Because let's face it ladies, most guys appreciate low cut much more than high fashion. But sometimes an outfit comes along with both his and her appeal hitting the sweet spot right in the middle.
I wore this outfit to date night at Belcampo Meat Co last Friday where we caught up (M just returned from a work trip) over burgers, fries, and cheesy cauliflowers. The restaurant is kind of hidden on busy Wilshire Blvd but absolutely rewarding to find. The floor to ceiling bar wall is daunting and offers every possible libation known and yet to discovered by mankind. The undisputed star of the restaurant is the burger, no wait, the patty. It's savory, juicy, and even for a part-time herbivore like myself, I ate up every single morsel.
I paired my criss-cross front top with a tan A-line skirt and new leather boots from Born, an artisanal footwear company that prides itself on hand crafted leather shoes born from comfort and beauty. I'm sure you've seen the top and skirt combo everywhere this season and there's a reason for its pervasiveness. It's the perfect mix of fun meets sexy Instead of heels, I opted for my leather Amila boots available at Dillards. They ground the outfit and gives it a rustic fall feel. Plus, they're super comfortable to walk which fueled our decision to go from Belcampo straight to Yogurtland.
