L.A. weather is a bit tricky, as seasons are as intertwined as characters in a
Korean TV drama. Just when you think pumpkin spice latte weather is
finally here, a record-breaking heat wave puts it on tilt and spins you back to
ice-cold blended mochas. So when it comes to wearing "first of fall" shoes, I
only have eyes for my DSW combat boots, as they're the perfect transition
boots for the seasonless seasons of L.A.
I like wearing these boots with floral tops, an endless summer staple, and
dark skinny-leg jeans. The combat boots provide an interesting winter
utilitarian contrast to the otherwise feminine and summery outfit. Add a
cardigan and the look treads perfectly in both summer and fall territories.
