To battle the desert heat and other beauty unfriendly festival elements, I prepped and tested a new "just the face" makeup routine using the best color correction and skin protecting products from Physician's Formula. The result? No fuss radiant skin from sunrise to sunrise!

I'm been around the Coachella block a few times and have come to appreciate the importance of picking out the right makeup and perfecting a music festival beauty routine. The festival is an unique environment filled with beauty unfriendly elements-there's the unrelenting dry desert heat, the excessive sweating, and the lack of porta potty sink space for makeup reapplication. Ill prepared and hot mess inevitably ensues.
So, instead of grabbing whatever makeup is within eye view while frantically trying to rush out the door to beat the LA to Indio in gridlock on Friday like I have in years past, this year I wanted to be prepared. Weeks before the festival, I began a new makeup routine focusing on brightening and evening out my complexion while battling the desert heat. Most of the products are from Physician's Formula as they are known for their all-natural color correction face products. The result? Aside from reapplying my mineral powder during the day to cover my sweaty shine, my makeup stayed flawless from sunrise to....sunrise!
1. Apply a long-lasting hydrating moisturizer. My current favorite is Belif True Cream Moisturizing Bomb as I love the time released hydration.
2. Apply Makeup Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer. It's a great product to smooth out skin and helps makeup stay on longer.
3. Apply Physician's Formula Organic Wear BB Cream. I use it as a foundation to protect the face while evenly out skin tone. The skin nourishing organic ingredients and vitamins keeps skin healthy and radiant.
4. Apply under-eye concealer to mask festival wear and tear. I love Physician's Formula Super CC Color Correction and Care Instant Blurring Eye Cream . Glides on smoothly and gently covers all imperfections and dark circles. The color correction mixes several different pigments to cover all skin imperfections.
5. Apply blush to the apples of the cheeks and bronzer to contour. Physician's Formula Super BB All-In-All Bronzer and Blush is great as it contains SPF 30 and is the perfect color duo. The coral blush looks natural while the matte bronzer works well in conturing and shading.
6. I apply the two lighter colors from Physician's Formula Nude Wear Touch of Glow Palette as a highlighter. It is hands down my favorite product from PF as it provides a radiant glow without too much shimmer. It's one of the most natural looking highlighters I've ever used!
7. Finally, I set my makeup with PF Mineral Wear Talc-Free Powder with SPF 16. Yet another layer of SPF protection! I love the packaging and the two shades as I can mix and find the perfect matching color.
