Last week, I met up with a friend for dinner at Sushi Zo, one of my favorite LA sushi spots. Their omakase never disappoints as plates of the freshest and most innovative dishes spoil my sushi palate. My favorites were the buttery toro, the equally buttery sea urchin, a chewy gelatinous clear fish flown in from Japan, and the happiest of all endings...the blue crab hand roll. After dinner, we walked down the street to Peddler's Creamery, an organic fair trade ice cream shop where bikes churn out each and every flavor. Customers can get in on the fun and peddle for their ice cream as each batch churned (takes about fifteen minutes of peddling) earns a scoop of ice cream. Burn calories while earning free ice cream? It's a winning proposition!
My bebe Aztec print crop top screams festival style but I toned it down for dinner and kept the look simple with a pair of flared black pants. Ever since the trend emerged in the late 90s, I haven't been able to let go of my love for dark colored flared pants. The slimming color and the flared legs creates such a complimentary silhouette and is versatile enough to wear day, night, and weekend. A perforated bucket bag from JustFab and a few accessories complete the outfit for my fun night of sushi and ice cream.
