{GBF Life + Style} LuLu*s The Great Galentine's Giveaway: Win Free Dresses for a Year!

When I was in elementary school, Valentine's Day was a shared experience. I'd pick out a box of cards from Target, fill them with pastel heart shaped candy etched with cute messages and pass them out to everyone in my class. Of course, for my crushes (plural because I was a player and was usually crushing on five or six boys at a time), I'd filter and cram in candy with the steamy messages like, "be mine" and "you're cute" hoping they'd get the message. It was so fun to spread the spirit of Valentine's Day to more than just one person.

So this year, I'm turning back the hands of time by celebrating not just the person but rather the people in my life who are the loves of my life. My gal pal Taye is one of those people. I feel so incredibly at ease and happy around her as she always casts a bright light on my life. Together, we've shared some amazing moments and I'm sure more are just waiting in the wings. For our first look, Taye and I went with basic short dresses that are easy to accessorize and layer, perfect for a G-day outing to the DVF Journey of a Dress exibit at LACMA or a picnic at Malibu Wines. For our night look, we went with maxi dresses that showcase our personal style while staying true to the spirit of the sultry air of nighttime shenanigans. And by nighttime shenanigans, I mean staying in with a bag of kettle corn and watching The Bachelor.
