I've been inside enough law firms and courtrooms to know that when it comes to suiting up, women gravitate towards darker colors. I'm not surprised as the inherent masculine draw of power suits lends itself to palettes of black, grey, and navy. And for that very reason, I find it absolutely refreshing to rock a light colored pantsuit utilizing the colors black, white, and blush as it's the perfect juncture between hard and soft, masculine and feminine.
I stumbled upon my white tunic and black and white blazer while on a late night Target cereal run. The amazing quality and timeless style of both pieces bouldered my path to the cereal aisle. My heart started thumping as I was so excited to find not one but two "no need to try on" items in one outing. I yanked them off the rack, ran to the checkout line, and went home Cocoa Puff-less. I didn't have anything to eat for breakfast the next day, but I had a new outfit to wear!
For work, I tucked the tunic inside my wide leg blush colored pants and layered it with my tuxedo jacket for a feminine yet powerful pantsuit statement that's right on target.
