Today, I had my very first hot dog of the summer season and am clamoring for more all-beef sausages. I'm sure I'll get my fill during the Fourth of July long weekend as it's packed with parties, ocean breezes, and pounds of ground meat, To celebrate an All-American weekend, I've put together three outfits from Madison LA's fabulous roster of designers (a frequent stop on the GBF shopping tour) fitting for each and every patriotic occasion that may come into play this weekend.
{The Good}
My once slight interest in denim overalls has turned into a mad obsession as I can't get enough of the comfortable and fun to wear country meets city look. They're also the perfect cover-up for daytime beach side fun. The length of these Current/Elliot overalls perfectly shows off my Chloe wedges{similar}while the drop waist presents a modern and cool take on an old denim classic. I've paired it with an Annie Bing striped shirt.
{The Bad}
My Mason by Michelle Mason leather cut-out dress is so baaad and so sultry. It's the perfect holiday statement dress and an essential summer night staple. The plunging yet modern neckline in soft leather and softly flared bottom creates a figure flattering silhouette that would get the seal of approval from our Founding Fathers. Here, I'm wearing it with Camilla Skovgaard heels {similar}, BCBG clutch {similar|similar} and Chanel bracelet. Necklace is from Shanghai.
{The Fab}
A versatile and playful Alice and Olivia lace dress layered with a well-fitted Rag and Bone denim jacket is the perfect day to night outfit for a long summer weekend. It can take you straight from a daytime picnic to a nighttime concert and through every fabulous Independence Day weekend moment in between! Heels are from Prada {similar|similar}, purse is fromFendi {similar} and my watch is from Movado.
Stay safe and stay fab on the Fourth!
