It feels a bit surreal to be typing this but tomorrow, I will be in Milan for fashion week! The day will be packed with shows, presentations, and clusters of shopping time here and there. With such a crazy schedule, i'm so glad fashion week is now fully tech savvy and integrated. PDF invitations sent over emails and the use of programs like Fashion GPS to pull up seat assignments and confirmation numbers means I don't have to carry around bulky paper invitations that can cramp my style. After all, when it comes to fashion, isn't less always more?
With technology influencing and simplifying fashion in the arena of fashion shows, fashion, in turn, is permeating into the world of high tech. High fashion style aesthetics are making its presence in the world of high tech and many major brands are fully embracing the convergence. HP is running an amazing design contest where they are challenging people to design a stylish and sleek laptop bag perfect for the small size of their Ultrabook. The winning design will be chosen by Jill of Inhabitat.com, the writers at Core 77, as well as Mondo from Project Runway Season 8 and will receive $10,000! Visit the contest site for more details and to vote for your favorite design! www.hp.com/projectrunway.
