Summer dressing is all about the cotton dress. It's light on the body, easy on the eyes, and heavy on style and grace. It's also the perfect dress piece for any and every style inclination. My Sugarlips Painted Lady Dress is this summer's cotton dress anthem. The dainty ruffles coupled with the delicate butterfly print is perfectly ladylike and easy to dress up, down, and all around. Recently, I took the dress in two separate directions for two very different occasions.
Take 1:
For a glam look that's refined enough to wear to work, I added a statement necklace to compensate for the mildly low neckline, a velvet sequined belt, minimal arm candy, and work size handbag. My oversized round shaped Chloe glasses and conservative hair bun kept the Jackie O influence heavily intact. Although I opted to wear grecian sandals, you can definitely pump up the refinement by wearing a pair of closed toe pumps.

Take 2:
As you know, I recently went to Vegas for a fun weekend of...Vegas. I left early on Sunday to roadrunner it back in time for the Two Point Oh! LA Royal Picnic celebrating my beloved blogger collective's third birthday. I didn't have time to go home and change so I was in my Sugarlips dress the entire day. The cotton material was comfy enough to wear on the four hour drive and it remained wrinkle-free for the endless picnic photo ops.
Adding a bold color vintage belt, my favorite Jimmy Choo espadrilles and dangled gold bracelets made it a perfect picnicking outfit!
