Let's face it. We all feel just a bit uncomfortable in our swimsuits. I'm sure even Marisa Miller or the current Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover model feels a tinge of self-consciousness when wearing a barely there two piece string bikini sometimes. So, to minimize my level of discomfort, I'm always searching for bathing suits that can enhance my body shape rather than point out its flaws.
When the lovely people at Sauipe Swimwear sent me the Montego Bay (pictured below), silky two-piece suit with a twisted bandeau with removable halter strap and ruched side-ties, it was like they had read my bathing suit checklist! The top is fully padded, naturally adding one whole cup size to my "petite" chest. The bottom sits high on the waist, pushing in and flattening out a belly that's crammed full with the previous night's fourth meal of nachos and strawberry milkshake. Basically, the suit gifts me with an hourglass figure! It's comforting to know that I can wear a bathing suit that doesn't require me to suck in my stomach the whole time I'm wearing it.
Sauipe Swimwear is a Brazilian line founded in 2006 and inspired by the early glamour of the 20th century fashion.
