I had the most relaxing time in Santa Barbara this past weekend. The weather was perfect, the food was delectable, and the
Hotel Oceana Santa Barbara was utterly charming and quaint, contributing to my total immersion in the peaceful SB ambiance. The beachfront hotel was like a mini resort, comprised of several Mediterranean style buildings interconnected by beautiful courtyards and two outdoor swimming pools. Upon check in, the friendly staff gave me a list of restaurant recommendations and signed me up for the complementary bike rental. The room was very welcoming, as it was meticulously clean, brimming with brightness and provided a wonderful view of the ocean. Each building has its own secluded garden, complete with sitting areas, oversized yellow umbrellas, and a view of West Beach. I sat for hours listening to the ocean breeze and basking in the summer sun, my body and mind engulfed in the peace of the moment.
Sometimes a mere 48 hours is all you need to re-energize, recharge, and go forth with life.
